Danielle @ DK Therapy: I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, life transitions, and depression. I also specialize in working with couples (dating, pre-marital, married). I mainly use CBT, ACT and The Gottman Method

Andy @ New Prairie: I specialize in families struggling with marriage problems, infidelity, addictions, and child behavior issues. I'm a strengths-based, solution-focused therapist using Gottman-based couple's materials, and Love and Logic parenting resources.

Andy @ New Prairie: I am a musician as well as a therapist. Music is an important part of my own self care. I also love spending time with my wife and two kids.

Meet Dr. Margot Mahan:
Seida @FTHC: Where in the city is your practice? 

Dr. Mahan @ Mahan & Associates: I practice in Naperville.  I have had an office there since 2000.  I have a small group practice.

 
Seida @ FTHC: What is your therapeutic specialty?

Dr. Mahan @ Mahan & Associates: I specialize in Trauma- especially interpersonal trauma, disrupted attachments, adoption, developmental concerns, chronic illness/pain, relational concerns.  I love working with postpartum depression because I enjoy working with the mother infant together.  I am trained as a social worker, marriage & family therapist & clinical psychologist.  I work as a consulting psychologist also for DCFS.  I find this to be challenging, enjoyable and a good fit with the treatment I participate in with my clients in Naperville.

 
Seida @ FTHC: What are some hobbies you enjoy outside of work?

Dr. Mahan @ Mahan & Associates: I love to hang out with my daughter.  I am trained as a chef, so I enjoy cooking and eating good food paired with just the right wine.  I love to read and wish I had more time for this.  I enjoy being outside and want to create a garden in my yard.

Seida @FTHC: Where in the city is your practice? 
Kate @ Evans Therapy: My practice is on the east side of St Charles on N 11th Ave off Cedar Ave in the big Cedar Avenue Business Center brick building set back from Main street.

Seida @ FTHC: What is your therapeutic specialty?
Kate @ Evans Therapy: My overall focus is on women's empowerment. Helping women to care for themselves and find the strength that already lies within them. Some specific areas I focus on are trauma, divorce support, and low libido in women. I'm also an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) certified therapist.

Seida @ FTHC: What are some hobbies you enjoy outside of work?
Kate @ Evans Therapy: I love to travel and was able to go to Tahiti this year. I have a trip to Iceland planned for next year.  I enjoy pilates, yoga and love to read the classics and mystery novels.
